Outdoor spaces take the hardest use
Outdoor dining is part of the draw in Crabapple, and patios, bar fronts and fire features show up at restaurants across Milton. Apartment and condominium communities in the area count on pool cabanas, grill stations and outdoor kitchens at their amenity centers to lease units and keep residents happy. All of these are exterior walls with more abuse than most: rain on every top, splash from hosing down the patio, heat near grills and fireplaces, and chairs and carts knocking the corners.
We build these features to last outdoors. Bases are framed with materials suited to wet locations or built in block, then sheathed, wrapped and lathed like any exterior wall. Countertop and cap overhangs throw water clear of the face, the base sits on a screed that can drain, and openings for grills, refrigeration and utilities are flashed and sealed.
On existing features that have cracked, stained or crumbled, we find out why first, usually water entering from the top or wicking up from the slab, then rebuild and refinish so the fix holds through the next patio season.

Outdoor dining & amenity stucco in Milton
From a single grill station on a pool deck to a full restaurant patio, the same rules apply: a sound base, a drained bottom edge and a finish that matches the building.
Restaurant patio walls
Perimeter and screen walls that enclose outdoor dining, capped and finished to match the restaurant facade.
Bar fronts & counters
Outdoor bar bases built square and level, ready for the countertop your fabricator sets.
Grill stations & outdoor kitchens
Block or framed bases at amenity decks and courtyards with cut-outs sized for the specified equipment.
Pool cabanas & amenity buildings
Stucco on cabanas, pool restrooms and pavilions at apartment and condominium communities.
Refinishing existing features
Faded or patched walls and bar fronts with sound bases get a new finish coat in the selected color.
Cracked & stained bases
Cracks, loose stucco and stained bottoms repaired at the cause, often water wicking up from the slab.
Picking the right base for the space
Concrete block is the most durable base for an outdoor bar or grill station. It does not rot, it takes stucco directly, and it handles the heat around commercial grills. It is heavy, so it needs a slab or footing that can carry it, which matters on elevated amenity decks.
A framed base with cement board is lighter and easier to shape, which helps with curved bars, long runs and decks with weight limits. If the frame is combustible, grills must be installed with the insulated jacket or clearances their manufacturer requires, and we plan the openings around that from the start. Load limits on decks and podiums are confirmed by the owner’s engineer or design team.
For existing features, refinishing is often the simplest option when the base is sound. We check before we quote and tell you if a crack or stain points to a problem a new coat would only cover.

Building around guests and residents
We schedule around service hours and pool seasons, and around the licensed trades, so gas, plumbing and power rough-ins are in place before a base is closed up.
Plan & lay out
We review the plans, confirm equipment cut-outs and clearances, and mark where licensed trades need to bring utilities.

Build the base
Block is laid or the frame is built and sheathed in cement board, with openings framed for grills, refrigeration and doors.

Stucco & finish

- Coats cured properly
- Drip edge at the slab
- Color & texture matched

Patio season in North Fulton
Milton's long warm season keeps patios and pool decks busy most of the year, which shapes when and how we work on them.
Restaurants in Crabapple and along Highway 9 rely on spring and fall patio business, and amenity areas at multifamily communities near Milton are busiest from late spring through summer. We schedule outdoor work in the shoulder seasons or during closed hours where we can, keep cure times in mind when a patio has to reopen, and finish features to match the building so they read as part of the property. Check with the City of Milton about any permit or design review before building new structures, especially in Crabapple.
