Our story

A neighbor to Milton, focused on one trade

Darrin Straub started Advanced Stucco Repair in 1999 with the view that every stained, cracked or bulging facade is really a question about water: where it gets in, where it goes and how to stop it. That is still the first question we ask on every building, and the reason our work covers the whole wall rather than just the finish.

Our base in Canton puts Milton close by. Over the years, North Fulton has changed from crossroads communities and horse farms into a mix of preserved countryside and concentrated commercial areas, and the buildings in those areas now carry two decades or more of Georgia weather. We know how they were built, because we have repaired the same stucco and EIFS details across the region.

Our services are specialized: moisture surveys and water testing, sheathing and substrate repair, flashing and sealant work, EIFS and Dryvit restoration, hard coat stucco, recoats and new installations, with color and texture matched across full elevations. The people we work for are property managers, condo and HOA boards, owners, asset managers and general contractors, and every scope we give them is written and itemized.

The ASR standard

What you can expect on every building

From a single leaking storefront to a full condominium recoat, the same six commitments apply.

Diagnose before we cut

Moisture readings at windows, joints and parapets, plus water testing where the leak path is unclear, so the scope matches the real damage.

Readings, not guesswork

Fix the water path

We correct the failed sealant, flashing or termination that let water in, so the same elevation does not need the same repair again.

Cause closed, not covered

Scopes boards can approve

Photos, readings and an itemized scope by elevation that separates urgent water intrusion from cosmetic work, with phasing options for budgets and reserves.

Written and itemized

Work around occupants

Phased elevations, open entrances and noisy work scheduled around tenants, residents and business hours.

Occupied-building planning

Build it in the right layers

Sheathing, weather barrier, flashing, lath, base and finish installed and lapped in order, with proper cure time between coats.

Correct from the studs out

Match the facade

Custom pigment and aggregate blends, sample areas for approval, and recoats corner to corner where a patch would show.

Color & texture matched
How we work

From site walk to finished facade

Every commercial project follows the same three steps, so managers, boards and owners know what is happening and why.

We walk the elevations with you, review leak reports and past repairs, and take moisture readings at the details that fail first.

  • Leak reports reviewed
  • Readings by elevation
  • Photo documentation

Written scope & quote

You receive an itemized scope by elevation, with repair and recoat options and a phasing plan that fits budgets, reserves and approvals.

  • Itemized by elevation
  • Urgent vs. cosmetic
  • Phasing options

Phased repair & finish

Crews work elevation by elevation, replace wet substrate, correct flashing and sealants, and finish with a matched color and texture.

  • Access & safety planned
  • Daily cleanup
  • Matched finish

In our clients’ words

Long-term clients on what it is like to work with Advanced Stucco Repair on stucco repair and water intrusion work.

★★★★★
“We had a section of our wall that was crumbling, and I was worried the repairs would stand out. Not only did they fix the issue, but they matched the color and texture so perfectly that I honestly can’t tell where the damage was.”

“For over 10 years we have relied on ASR for all our stucco repair needs, but as well, for a number of other water intrusion related solutions. Their leadership are responsive and have trained their technicians well. We have been 100% satisfied with the work they’ve done for us.”

Where we work

From Canton to Milton and across North Metro

Milton sits between our base in Canton and the commercial corridors of North Fulton and Forsyth County, all of which we serve.

On any given week our crews may be working on a retail center near Windward, a mixed-use building in Crabapple, an association's buildings in Roswell or a new project in Forsyth County. Being close means site walks are easy to schedule and follow-up visits do not wait for a crew to be in the area. It also means we know the region's weather well: humid summers, sudden storms and winter freeze-thaw that wear on every joint and flashing.

Since 1999

More than twenty-five years of stucco and EIFS work in Georgia, led by founder Darrin Straub.

Commercial focus

Retail, office, restaurant, condo, apartment and new construction work across North Metro Atlanta.

Questions & answers

About Advanced Stucco Repair

Common questions from Milton property managers, boards, owners and general contractors.

How long has Advanced Stucco Repair been in business?
Since 1999. The company was founded by Darrin Straub, who still leads it as President.
Do you have an office in Milton?
No. We are based in Canton, a short drive from Milton, and our estimators come to the property for every site walk, so there is no need to visit an office.
What kinds of Milton properties do you work on?
Shopping centers, restaurants, office and medical buildings, mixed-use buildings, condominium and townhome associations, apartment communities, and new construction for general contractors. Our quote form is for commercial and multifamily projects.
Do you know Milton's requirements for exterior work?
We know the common questions, but the City of Milton sets the rules. For permits, and for design review in areas like Crabapple, check with the city; we provide written scopes and samples to support that process.
Do you only work on stucco and EIFS?
Stucco, EIFS and the envelope details around them: sealants, flashing, coatings, sheathing and related carpentry. We do not replace roofs or windows, but we coordinate with the trades that do.
Can you work with our board or ownership approval process?
Yes. We provide written scopes, photos and options that boards and owners can review, and we can attend a meeting to answer questions.
